It sells computers and computer accessories through three mediums/channels:
-Retailers
-Direct
-Distributors

Recently, the company has faced unforeseen losses by opening stores in Latin American based only on surveys, intuition and some excel analysis. Whereas their competitors have been making data driven decisions with the help of their analytics team, enabling them to capture high market share.

So AtliQ Hardware has no other option other than building their own analytics team in order to make data driven insights in the future and survive in the industry.

Atliq Hardwares (imaginary company) is one of the leading computer hardware producers in India and well expanded in other countries too.

However, the management noticed that they do not get enough insights to make quick and smart data-informed decisions. They want to expand their data analytics team by adding several junior data analysts. Tony Sharma, their data analytics director wanted to hire someone who is good at both tech and soft skills. Hence, he decided to conduct a SQL challenge which will help him understand both the skills.

Tony has provided me with 10 different AdHoc requests to generate using MySQL and present the results along with their respective queries in Powerpoint.

AtliQ Grands owns multiple five-star hotels across India. They have been in the hospitality industry for the past 20 years. Due to strategic moves from other competitors and ineffective decision-making in management, AtliQ Grands are losing its market share and revenue in the luxury/business hotels category.

As a strategic move, the managing director of AtliQ Grands wanted to incorporate “Business and Data Intelligence” to regain their market share and revenue. However, they do not have an in-house data analytics team to provide them with these insights.

Their revenue management team had hence decided to hire a 3rd party service provider to provide them with insights from their historical data.
