Excel-Sales and Finance Analytics Project of AtliQ Hardwares

Domain/Function: Consumer Electronics and Hardware Industry/Sales Analytics

The objective of this project is to offer in-depth analysis of the company's financial health and its standing in the market. It involves generating a range of reports such as "Customer Net Sales Performance" and "Market Performance vs. Target" using a combination of fundamental and advanced Excel.

The Customer Performance Report displays the yearly net sales performance for each customer.

This shows P & L statement market wise.

Project Details

In this project, I created a sales report using excel pivot tables which will enable businesses to determine effective customer discounts, facilitate negotiations with consumers, and identify potential business expansion opportunities in promising countries. The reports generated will provide actionable insights and recommendations for businesses to optimize their sales strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue generation.

Project Details

Conducting ad-hoc analyses for Atliq Hardware enabled me to quickly answer specific questions without waiting for regular reports. These analyses provided the business with insights into the product portfolio, sales across different customers, and a monthly view of products sold.

Key learnings :

-enhanced my ability to extract necessary information from multiple tables using joins.
-learned to effectively visualize insights by selecting the appropriate charts for data representation.
-Understood the importance of ad-hoc analysis in helping the business. It allows for quick, specific insights that inform better decision-making without waiting for regular reports.

Implemented a multi-view Power BI dashboard for AtliQ Hardware, enabling in-depth sales trend analysis and data-driven decision-making across six departments. Integrated extensive datasets from MySQL and Excel, totaling one million records.

Background: AtliQ Hardware, a computer hardware manufacturer, faced sales declines in Latin America due to decisions based on surveys and intuition.

Task: My role was to craft a multi-view dashboard that tracks sales trends across six departments, aiding their shift towards data-driven decision-making.

Action: I gathered data from MySQL and Excel, handling over a million records. I developed measures for key business metrics like net sales, gross margin %, net profit %, and identified top and bottom customers, along with forecast accuracy, streamlining decision-making.

Result: Optimizing reports with DAX studios reduced file sizes by 25% and enhanced performance. Projected benefits include a 10% revenue growth and a 20% reduction in data-related expenses.

Crafted a diagnostic dashboard for Atliq Hotels to pinpoint where they are losing market share and revenue. Using insights from key metrics like RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy %, I have provided recommendations to help them regain their competitive edge.

Project Details

AtliQ's hotel chains are experiencing a decline in market share and revenue due to strategic moves by competitors and suboptimal decision-making by the AtliQ revenue team.

Task: Developed a diagnostic dashboard to assist the revenue team in monitoring key metrics and identifying areas of concern.

Action: Utilized DAX measures to generate essential metrics in the hospitality domain, including RevPAR, occupancy percentage, and ADR.

Results: Identified that AtliQ's hotel chains are not leveraging dynamic pricing strategies and neglecting efforts to enhance customer ratings through proactive engagement.

Key Learnings:
- Designed a slicer panel using bookmarks to streamline navigation.
- Gained insights into KPIs within the hospitality sector.
- Utilized DAX formulas to analyze data effectively and drive informed decision-making.
