I developed an Excel-based Sales & Finance Analytics project for the FMCG domain. The project involved designing and implementing dynamic reports to provide actionable insights into business performance. Key components included a detailed Profit & Loss statement, customer performance analysis, and market performance versus target comparisons. These reports allowed stakeholders to monitor sales trends, evaluate financial outcomes, and make data-driven decisions to optimize strategies. By leveraging advanced Excel functions and visualization tools, the project streamlined reporting processes, improved transparency, and supported strategic planning in a competitive market environment.

Project Details

At AtliQ Hardware, we faced challenges managing large volumes of data using Excel, which hindered our ability to extract actionable insights. To address this, I spearheaded a project to develop a comprehensive Power BI Dashboard aimed at transforming raw data into clear, dynamic visualizations. The primary objective was to shift from Excel to Power BI to enhance data comprehension and drive informed decision-making across finance, sales, and supply chain areas. Leveraging SQL, I efficiently extracted and prepared data from a massive dataset of 1.8 million entries. The dashboard was built using Power BI, incorporating advanced analytics with DAX Studio, and complemented by Excel for additional data manipulation. This integrated solution not only streamlined data processing but also provided stakeholders with real-time insights, empowering them to make strategic decisions and improve operational performance.

Project Details

Lio, a leading telecommunications provider in India, is planning a strategic merger with
Jotstar, one of the country’s most prominent streaming platforms. This potential partnership
aims to combine LioCinema’s expansive subscriber base and Jotstar’s diverse content library
to revolutionize digital streaming in India.

As part of the merger preparation, the management team at Lio wants to analyse the
performance and user behavior of both platforms—LioCinema and Jotstar—over the past
one year (January to November 2024). The goal is to gain insights into individual platform
performance, content consumption patterns, subscriber growth, Inactivity behavior, upgrade
and downgrade trends. The insights derived from this study will help the management make
informed decisions and optimize content strategies post-merger, with the ultimate goal of
establishing Lio-Jotstar as the leading OTT platform in India.

Atliq Hardwares is a leading computer hardware manufacturer in India, with a strong presence in international markets as well. The management at Atliq Hardwares aims to make quicker and smarter data-driven decisions. To support this goal, Tony Sharma, the Director of Data Analytics, wanted to bring someone on board with strong technical and communication skills. To evaluate both, he decided to conduct a SQL challenge. There are 10 ad hoc requests for which the business needs insights.
