In this project, we embark on a journey to gain a deeper understanding of our customer base and revenue generation at Shield Insurance. We prioritize tracking customer numbers and total revenue, while also closely monitoring daily growth rates for both. This real-time monitoring ensures we stay on course towards our goals.
I've tackled the following aspects:
Understand how many customers they have and how much money they make.
Keep an eye on how fast the money and customer numbers are growing every day.
Looked at how the insurance policies change from one month to another to spot trends and areas to improve.
Sorting the customers by age groups and see which cities and age groups make the most money and have the most customers.
Used filters like sales methods, age groups, cities, months, and policy IDs to analyze our data faster.

Project Details

In this project, the goal is to be one report which could be used by stakeholders from sales, marketing, finance and executive team.

● Customized Dashboard: Developed a multi-functional Power BI dashboard to specifically meet AtliQ Hardware's needs, allowing them to gain insights into their various departments.

● Data Integration: Data was sourced from disparate locations, including Excel/CSV files and a MYSQL database, and seamlessly integrated into Power BI for comprehensive analysis.

● Data Model and Visualization: A robust data model was developed within Power BI, enabling the creation of visually appealing and interactive visualizations to represent key performance indicators (KPI's).
● Performance Optimization: The dashboard's performance was significantly improved using DAX studio, resulting in a 5% increase in report efficiency.
● Data-Driven Decisions: AtliQ Hardware can now analyze trends across different department, empowering them to make data-driven decisions.

However, facing declining market share and revenue in the luxury and business hotel segments due to intense competition and suboptimal management decisions, the managing director has launched a strategic initiative to embed "Business and Data Intelligence" into their operations. This move aims to reclaim market share and boost revenue.
