Project: Bharat Herald – Post-COVID Business & Digital Transformation Analysis

Conducted an in-depth analysis of Bharat Herald, a 70-year-old newspaper facing steep declines in print circulation and ad revenue after COVID-19. Using Power BI, I analyzed multi-year trends in sales, ad categories, and city-level performance to identify causes of revenue loss and digital readiness gaps. Designed a data-driven roadmap for digital transformation—recommending mobile-first content, subscription models, and influencer-based credibility campaigns. Delivered an interactive Power BI dashboard and executive presentation highlighting strategies to rebuild advertiser trust, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate Bharat Herald’s transition from a legacy print business to a sustainable digital media powerhouse.

Project Details

Performed an in-depth data analysis for AtliQ Grands, a leading Indian hotel chain facing a decline in revenue and market share. Using Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib, I transformed raw booking data into actionable insights for data-driven decisions.

I began with data exploration, identifying key booking patterns, property capacity gaps, and overbooked days to assess operational efficiency. Through data cleaning, I handled missing values using statistical imputation and removed inconsistencies to ensure accuracy.

In the insight phase, I analyzed occupancy by room type and city, weekday vs weekend trends, monthly revenue, and top-performing platforms. This helped AtliQ Grands’ management identify underperforming hotels, refine pricing and platform strategies, and improve occupancy and revenue.

End-to-End Data Engineering Pipeline

A fully automated, production-grade data engineering pipeline that ingests raw data from a MySQL source database, processes it through AWS services, loads it into Snowflake Data Warehouse, and visualizes it in Power BI — with zero manual intervention.

🚀 Built an End-to-End Data Engineering Pipeline that automates the complete data flow from ingestion to visualization with zero manual intervention. The pipeline extracts raw transactional data from MySQL, stores it in AWS S3 as a Data Lake, processes and transforms the data using AWS Glue ETL jobs, and loads analysis-ready data into Snowflake Data Warehouse. Finally, Power BI is connected to Snowflake for creating live and interactive dashboards.

Project Details

This project was developed as part of the Codebasics Resume Project Challenge, focused on decoding the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Election using only publicly available Election Commission of India (ECI) data. The objective was to transform raw election data into a storytelling-driven analytics presentation for AtliQ Media. Using Power BI, SQL, Python, and DAX, I analyzed major election trends and built an interactive dashboard, stakeholder presentation, and video walkthrough. The project focused on three key stories: constituency flip analysis between 2021 and 2026, vote share trends across parties, and victory margin analysis highlighting close contests and landslides. The entire analysis was designed with a non-partisan, editorial-style storytelling approach to make insights easy to understand for general audiences.
