About Me

Hello, I'm Dhruv Merchant, a passionate data analyst with a strong dedication to transforming complex data into actionable insights. From a young age, I've had a deep appreciation for mathematics and solving challenging problems that engage the mind. It was during my tenure at HUDL, a prominent data analytics company, where I discovered my true passion for data analytics.

During my three years as a Data Analyst at HUDL, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand how data plays a pivotal role in helping sporting teams grow and improve their performance. This experience fueled my excitement for the data field, prompting me to pursue a Master's degree in the United States.

Throughout my academic journey and professional career, I have been fortunate to work on various projects utilizing an array of analytical tools and programming languages such as R, SQL, Python, and Power BI. These projects have provided me with invaluable hands-on experience as well as reinforced my love for data.

Project Details

The project has two phases:
1. Phase 1 (MVP): Build and deploy a predictive model with a Streamlit application.
2. Phase 2: Develop infrastructure for straight-through processing (STP) of insurance quotes
(detailed planning and estimation for this phase will be done later).
Phase 1: MVP Development
Objective:
 Develop a high-accuracy (>97%) predictive model. The percentage difference between
the predicted and actual value on a minimum of 95% of the errors should be less than
10%.
 Deploy the model in the cloud so that an insurance underwriter can run it from anywhere.
 Create an interactive Streamlit application that an underwriter can use for predictions.

Project Details

In this project, I created a sales report using excel pivot tables which will enable businesses to determine effective customer discounts, facilitate negotiations with consumers, and identify potential business expansion opportunities in promising countries. The reports generated will provide actionable insights and recommendations for businesses to optimize their sales strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue generation.
