Hello everyone,

As a dedicated data professional with hands-on experience from my internship at Atliq Technologies and advanced training from the Codebasics bootcamp, I have developed skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Basic Python. My internship provided practical experience with real-world datasets, where I built impactful dashboards and transformed data into actionable insights.

The bootcamp further refined my ability to use data for strategic decision-making and operational improvements. My key functional areas include data cleaning, data analysis, dashboard creation, and data visualization, ensuring comprehensive and insightful data solutions.

Throughout my projects, I enhanced my problem-solving skills and consistently delivered clear, actionable insights. I also won 1st prize in the Codebasics Project Resume Challenge 10.

Ingested over 1.8 million records from diverse sources like Excel, CSV, and MySQL into Power BI, ensuring a unified data platform for in-depth analysis.

2. Extract, Transform & Load Data (ETL):
Applied Power Query for seamless extraction, transformation, and loading, optimizing data flow. Leveraged DAX Studio to reduce load time and storage by 25%.

3. Data Model and DAX:
Engineered a robust data model with 15+ tables using a Snowflake Schema, fostering efficient relationships. Utilized DAX for insightful calculated columns and measures.

4. Create Reports:
Crafted tailored reports, including P&L for Finance, Sales Performance Matrix, NP% and GM% for Marketing, Forecast Accuracy for Supply Chain, and Market Share Trend for Executives.

5. Dashboard Creation:
Engineered a versatile Power BI dashboard, catering to AtliQ Hardware's departmental needs, facilitating a holistic view of critical insights.

Utilize Join and Group by operations to fetch the Gross Sales amount for each customer and visualize the results in an insightful chart.

Determine top 3 products in each division using CTE, rank and Join functions and then present the findings in a visually compelling column chart.

Project Details

1. Ad-hoc Query Resolution:
Analyzed and resolved 10 ad-hoc requests using fundamental SQL concepts. Applied WHERE clause, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, JOINS, CTE, WINDOW FUNCTION, etc. Ensured accuracy and efficiency in data retrieval for each query.

2. Power BI Data Visualization:
Exported query results to Power BI for robust data visualization. Employed effective visualizations such as bar charts, pie charts, maps, donuts, and line charts. Utilized conditional formatting to enhance clarity and highlight key insights.

3. Insights Presentation:
Delivered a comprehensive video presentation explaining insights derived from visualizations. Shared meaningful observations and actionable recommendations. Ensured a clear and engaging narrative to facilitate understanding.

This integrated approach, from ad-hoc query resolution to impactful data visualization and insightful presentation, demonstrates a holistic strategy in transforming raw data into actionable informed decision-making.

Project Details

Steps in Making this Report-

1. ETL (Extract Transform Load) Process
Loaded and processed CSV files in Power Query, ensuring data integrity, uniqueness, and correcting errors before integrating into Power Pivot.

2. Data Modeling
Implemented a star schema, created dim_date table with a fiscal year perspective, ensuring seamless integration with other tables.

3. Pivot Table and Power Pivot Integration
Integrated the data model with a Pivot Table for quick analysis, utilizing Power Pivot for efficient data transformation and connectivity.

4. DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Formulas
Developed 10+ new measures and columns using DAX, including Net Sales, Gross Margin, GM%, COGS, and applied a fiscal year perspective for deeper insights.

5. Conditional Formatting
Applied Conditional Formatting to enhance data presentation, highlighting key information, identifying trends, and improving overall data readability for effective analysis.

Project Details

As part of my internship, I had the privilege of working on the performance analysis of Shield Insurance, an insurance provider. The project involved creating a comprehensive report based on their provided data (November 2022 to April 2023). Shield Insurance extended its services to major cities such as Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Indore, and Mumbai, offering a diverse range of nine different insurance policies.

The analysis is categories into 3 categories:

1. General view:
Provide an overview of essential insurance metrics, showcasing customer and revenue, along with a monthly trend chart segmented by age groups and cities.

2. Sales Mode Analysis:
Highlights sales performance metrics across various channels, accompanied by a revenue trend chart and the percentage of sales mode that generated maximum revenue.

3. Age Group Insights:
Analyse company revenue and client performance by age group, total customer, sales mode, estimated settlement amount, and policy preference.

Project Details

This project showcased data-driven decision-making in a subscription-based business. I conducted detailed SQL analyses at Foodie-Fi, deriving actionable insights and strategic recommendations for business growth and customer retention.

Key SQL Functions Used:
Group By, Joins, CTEs, Subqueries, Window Functions, DateDiff, MONTH, YEAR, ROUND, CONCAT(), FLOOR().

KEY INSIGHTS:
1) Customer Retention: 9% churned after the free trial; 30.7% overall churn rate (307 out of 1000).
2) Post-Trial Subscriptions: 54% chose the basic monthly plan, 3.7% the pro annual plan.
3) Annual Upgrades: 158 upgraded to an annual plan in 2020, averaging 105 days to upgrade.
4) Zero Downgrades: No downgrades from the pro monthly plan in 2020.

RECOMMENDATION:
1) Update and diversify content to match user interests.
2) Implement a personalized recommendation system.
3) Use exit surveys for retention insights.
4) Introduce loyalty programs for long-term retention.
