I’m a graduate student in Data Analytics at the University of Houston–Downtown with a strong mix of technical skills and hands-on project experience. I’ve worked with tools like Python, R, SQL, and Power BI to clean, analyze, and visualize data that supports real decisions.

What I enjoy most is turning raw data into something meaningful — finding patterns, testing ideas, and explaining insights in a way that anyone can understand. Through my projects and internships, I’ve built predictive models, automated reports, and created dashboards that help teams see the bigger picture and act on it.

Project Details

This project simulates a real-world healthcare analytics scenario using SQL and MySQL. The goal was to help a hospital prepare its annual performance report by analyzing key areas such as patient encounter trends, payer coverage gaps, cost of procedures, and 30-day readmission rates.

I used advanced SQL techniques including joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregation to extract insights from structured data. The analysis identified the most frequent and costly procedures, patient behavior over time, and areas where operational efficiency could be improved. This experience demonstrated the critical role of analytics in hospital decision-making and patient care.

AtliQ is a global distributor of computer hardware, but they were facing difficulties because their outdated Excel reports were not providing them with the necessary information. So, to aid in their better understanding, I created this dashboard in Power BI.
Created a dynamic Power BI dashboard with several views.
•Finance view: Gained insights on Profit and Loss statements, Net sales performance
trends, Top products, and Customers based on net sales.
• Marketing View: Analyzed product performances.
• Supply chain view: Analyzed forecast accuracy, net error, and key metrics by customer
based on accuracy, and net error.
• Executive View: Created key metrics to gain insights into key performance indicators(KPIs)

Project Details

Atliq Hardware company stands as a frontrunner in computer hardware production within India and boasts a widespread presence in various other countries. Despite its successful track record, the management has identified a crucial gap in obtaining timely and insightful data to facilitate informed decision-making. As a Data Analyst, my task was:
1) To Check ‘ad-hoc-requests.pdf’ and run necessary SQL queries to answer these requests and provide insights.

Working on this project was a truly transformative experience. I utilized multiple joins, CTEs, and window functions to gather the necessary data, which helped me develop a strategic mindset essential for data analysis. Additionally, I enhanced my skills in optimizing complex queries, and debugging SQL code. I improved my problem-solving abilities, making the entire experience invaluable for my growth as a data analyst.

Project Details

Key Responsibilities:

ETL Process: Extracted data from diverse sources, transformed it through cleaning and formatting, and loaded it into the target database.
Data Modeling: Implemented a star schema to establish relationships between tables and introduced a fiscal year column for AtliQ Hardware.
Pivot Table and Power Pivot: Integrated the data model with Pivot Tables for efficient data analysis, created new measures, and used Power Query for seamless data transformation.
DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Developed new measures using DAX formulas such as Calculate, Sum, and Divide to enhance data insights.
Conditional Formatting: Applied rules to format numbers and text, highlighted crucial data, and identified trends for improved analysis.

Outcome:
The project provided AtliQ Hardware with detailed insights into sales and market performance, enabling strategic decision-making and performance optimization.

AtliQ Grands, a luxury hotel chain, is losing market share and revenue due to strategic moves by competitors and ineffective management decisions. Without an in-house analytics team, they hired a 3rd party to analyze their historical data and provide insights to regain their competitive edge.

Cleaned and analyzed historical revenue data.

Created key metrics including Total Revenue, RevPAR, and ADR using DAX formulas:
Total Revenue = SUM(Revenue[Amount])
RevPAR = [Total Revenue] / SUM(Rooms[Available Rooms])
ADR = [Total Revenue] / SUM(Rooms[Occupied Rooms])

Developed an interactive dashboard based on the provided mock-up, featuring charts and tables for revenue, occupancy, and ADR metric

Insights:

Analyzed trends and performance by hotel segment and location.
Provided recommendations for revenue optimization and competitive positioning.

In this project, I developed a detailed Power BI dashboard for Awesome Chocolates to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs). The dashboard tracks Total Sales, Costs, Profit, Boxes, and Shipments, providing month-over-month comparisons and visualizing profit trends.

The "Shipment Analysis" section offers insights into shipment volumes, highlighting the LBS Count and percentage change, aiding in the evaluation of logistics performance. The product table compares sales, profit, profit percentage, and LBS percentage across various products, helping stakeholders identify top and underperforming products.

This dashboard serves as a strategic tool for decision-making, enabling the company to fine-tune its operations and maximize profitability.
