This project focuses on analyzing three years of sales data (FY 2019–2021) for AtliQ Hardwares, a fictional company that sells hardware products globally. I used Microsoft Excel not just as a spreadsheet tool, but as a complete analytics platform—leveraging Power Query for data cleaning and transformation, Power Pivot for building a robust data model, and DAX to create dynamic calculations for deeper analysis.

Key highlights include:

Customer Performance Report: Used PivotTables and DAX measures to track net sales and growth trends for individual customers. Identified high-growth accounts like Amazon and AtliQ Exclusive through year-over-year comparisons.

Market Performance vs Target Report: Combined actual and target sales data to calculate performance gaps by country. Visualized shortfalls and high-performing markets (e.g., Japan, India) using user-friendly Excel reports.

Project Details

AtliQ Hardwares, a global electronics company, struggled with poor decisions driven by guesswork—leading to failed market expansions and profit loss. To help the company shift to data-driven decision-making, I developed a centralized Power BI dashboard covering Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. I connected various data sources (SQL + Excel), cleaned and modeled the data, and built clear, interactive reports tailored to each team. The dashboard replaced outdated Excel files with live, auto-updating insights available on the Power BI Service. Executives can now track key metrics, like profitability and market share, in real-time, while managers can drill into customer and product-level performance. This project turned AtliQ’s raw data into a powerful decision-making tool—helping teams not just see what happened, but understand why, and what to do next.

Project Details

AtliQ Grands, a leading Indian hotel chain, faced declining revenue and market share. I analyzed booking and revenue data using Python to uncover growth opportunities.

Performed end-to-end EDA on five datasets (bookings, revenue, rooms, ratings) using pandas and matplotlib. Key insights included higher weekend occupancy (72.34%) vs. weekdays (50.88%), Presidential rooms leading in occupancy (59.28%), and Mumbai as the top revenue generator (₹668.57M). Also found that “Others” booking platforms outperformed major channels.

Recommended Actions: Promote weekend leisure packages, form corporate tie-ups to lift weekday occupancy, upsell premium rooms, and improve service in low-rated cities like Bangalore.
