Project Details

This dashboard visualizes the data of a company to analyze the attrition of its employees. It provided attrition insights on various aspects such as -
By age- Employees aged between 26-35 are having the highest attrition rate.
By Gender- Around 64% male and 36% female employees are leaving the company.
By Education- Employees with Life Sciences background have the highest attrition rate followed by medical, marketing and technical.
By Job Role- Employees with role of Laboratory Technician have the highest attrition rate followed by Sales Executive, Research Scientist and Sales Representative.
By Salary- Employees with lowest salary have the highest attrition rate. As the salary increases, attrition rate decreases.
-By analyzing the results of the visuals, the company can better understand the problems that the concerned employees are facing and therefore can better retain its employees.

Project Details

Atliq Hardwares (imaginary company) is one of the leading computer hardware producers in India and well expanded in other countries too.
However, the management noticed that they do not get enough insights to make quick and smart data-informed decisions. They want to expand their data analytics team by adding several junior data analysts. Tony Sharma, their data analytics director wanted to hire someone who is good at both tech and soft skills. Hence, he decided to conduct a SQL challenge which will help him understand both the skills.
Tony has provided me with 10 different AdHoc requests to generate using MySQL and present the results along with their respective queries in Powerpoint.

Steps in Making this Report-

1. ETL (Extract Transform Load) Process
Loaded and processed CSV files in Power Query, ensuring data integrity, uniqueness, and correcting errors before integrating into Power Pivot.

2. Data Modeling
Implemented a star schema, created dim_date table with a fiscal year perspective, ensuring seamless integration with other tables.

3. Pivot Table and Power Pivot Integration
Integrated the data model with a Pivot Table for quick analysis, utilizing Power Pivot for efficient data transformation and connectivity.

4. DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Formulas
Developed 10+ new measures and columns using DAX, including Net Sales, Gross Margin, GM%, COGS, and applied a fiscal year perspective for deeper insights.

5. Conditional Formatting
Applied Conditional Formatting to enhance data presentation, highlighting key information, identifying trends, and improving overall data readability for effective analysis.
