Loaded and processed CSV files in Power Query, ensuring data integrity, uniqueness, and correcting errors before integrating into Power Pivot.

2. Data Modeling
Implemented a star schema, created dim_date table with a fiscal year perspective, ensuring seamless integration with other tables.

3. Pivot Table and Power Pivot Integration
Integrated the data model with a Pivot Table for quick analysis, utilizing Power Pivot for efficient data transformation and connectivity.

4. DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Formulas
Developed 10+ new measures and columns using DAX, including Net Sales, Gross Margin, GM%, COGS, and applied a fiscal year perspective for deeper insights.

5. Conditional Formatting
Applied Conditional Formatting to enhance data presentation, highlighting key information, identifying trends, and improving overall data readability for effective analysis.

Project Details

AtliQ Grands, a well-known chain of luxury hotels in India, has a rich 20-year history in hospitality. However, they are currently facing challenges with decreasing market share and revenue in the luxury and business hotel segment due to competition and management decisions. To address this, the managing director is initiating a strategic move to integrate "Business and Data Intelligence" into their operations, aiming to regain market share and boost revenue.
1. Data collection and exploration, create a Date table in Power Query (M language).
2. Data load to Power BI and initial validation.
3. Data Transformation in Power Query.
4. Data Modelling and creating calculated columns.
5. Creating measures using the DAX language.
6. Build Executive View, Finance View, Revenue View, Occupancy and Booking View and Key Metrics View.
7. Designing an effective Dashboard that includes page navigation with buttons, tooltips, using KPIs, and conditional formatting of the values in visuals.

Approach🖋:-
Imported the Data provided by Codebasics team in csv Format. into my MySQL server.

Altered the Table, changed the date format and made other changes as per requirement.

Ran SQL queries to fetch the data, to answer the question the sports magazine asked for.

Used the filtered data in Excel to visualize data.
