AtliQ Hardware is focusing on expanding its business across different markets (countries). They want to have an overview of how their business is performing in terms of net sales, gross margin & net profit across different customers, segments, products & markets, etc. Hence, they have decided to take the help of an expert data analysis team to know the above details & to be able to make data-driven decisions.
The report contains a dedicated page for each concerned department such as finance, sales, supply chain, marketing, and a separate page for the top management. Other than the interactive graphs & tables, each page comes with its relevant KPIs such as net sales, gross margin, net profit, net/absolute error & forecast accuracy.

In this project, I have utilized Microsoft Excel's powerful tools and functionalities to analyze a real-like data set from a hardware company. The main goal was to gain valuable insights into the company's sales, profits, and customer performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The project is organized into various worksheets, each containing different analyses and calculations.

Data Source: The raw data set consists of product information, customer details, and sales figures for a hardware company.

AtliQ Hardware, a fictional company, serves as the backdrop for this SQL project, which is designed to provide valuable insights into the company's sales data. The project encompasses a series of SQL queries, stored procedures, and data analyses aimed at answering various business questions and improving decision-making processes.

After cleaning and modeling the data to a star schema, my solution was to create a dashboard that answered the KPIs, focusing on the following points:

As part of my PwC Virtual Internship, I created a dashboard in Power BI for Claire that reflects all relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics in the dataset.

Project Details

Created a dashboard for the retention manager reflecting the major KPIs:
->Customers who left within the last month
->Services each customer has signed up for phone, multiple lines, internet, online security, online backup, device protection, tech support, and streaming TV.
->Customer account information: how long as a customer, contract, payment method, paperless billing, monthly charges, total charges, and number of tickets opened in the categories administrative and technical.
->Demographic info about customers – gender, age range, and if they have partners and dependents.

Major Observations:

->The visual above shows how our customers churned based on the charges paid by the contract type. This shows:
1. Most of the revenue is coming from the month-to-month contract type.
2. The amount of charges for customers that churned is almost equivalent to that of customers that stayed.
