Hi, I’m Omar Gamil. I have a strong foundation in Python, Power BI, SQL, and Excel, and I specialise in data cleaning, visualisation, and trend analysis to support informed decision-making. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Systems and Computer Engineering at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, with an expected graduation date of June 2024. Through hands-on projects and internships, I have honed my skills in delivering impactful dashboards and reports that optimise business performance.

A telecom company launched 5G services in India in May 2022. However, management has observed declining active users and revenue growth since the launch.

Project Overview:
In this project, management has observed a decline in both the number of active users and revenue growth.

Actions Taken to Address the Problem:
1. Compile a list of 15 key performance indicators (KPIs) for the dashboard.
2. Create a dashboard page to provide a comparison between the periods before and after the 5G launch.
3. Extract 8 insights and formulate 2 recommendations to help the company increase active users, identify the root cause of the decline, and compile all findings into a file and presentation.

Key Learnings from this Project:
1. How to use the Kanban technique for project planning.
2. How to utilize Jira tools for project management.
3. Designing a mockup dashboard.
4. Understanding the KPIs and metrics utilized in the telecommunications industry.
5. Establishing relationships between tables within a star schema.
6. Translating the mockup into a functional dashboard using Power BI.

Project Overview:
The project involves analyzing the company's data related to filed hardware components from four perspectives: finance, sales, marketing, and supply chain.

Actions Taken to Address the Analysis:
1. Collected a list of approximately 15 key performance indicators (KPIs) to aid in the analysis of the data and extract valuable insights.
2. Created a six-page dashboard to provide an overview of the data analysis.

Key Learnings from the Project:
1. Utilizing Power Query for both basic and advanced operations.
2. Applying basic and complex DAX formulas.
3. Developing data models involving over 10 tables.
4. Selecting appropriate visuals and formatting options.
5. Translating the mockup into a functional dashboard using Power BI.
6. Integrating datasets from Excel and SQL.

decision-making
