🔍 Using SQL and Power BI, I dove deep into the provided data to evaluate the success of each promotion.

🔑 Key Tasks and Insights:

Data Exploration: I thoroughly explored the sales data, identifying patterns in customer behavior, trends, and product performance during the promotional period.
Promotion Effectiveness: I used SQL to assess the impact of each promotion on sales, revenue, and customer engagement.
Power BI Dashboard: I created a dynamic Power BI dashboard to present findings, showcasing which promotions captured customer attention and which did not.

🎯 Results and Impact:

Determined the promotion type that delivered the highest return on investment (IR%) and the greatest increase in sales units (ISU%), helping to optimize future promotional strategies.
Identified top-performing products and categories.
Uncovered valuable insights that will guide future promotional strategies.

Project Details

AtliQ Hardwares recognized a gap in their ability to make quick, data-driven decisions. To address this, they decided to expand their data analytics team by bringing in junior data analysts who possessed a strong combination of technical skills and soft skills. To assess these qualities, Tony Sharma, the Data Analytics Director, developed a SQL challenge.

As part of this hypothetical application, my responsibilities included analyzing 10 business requests that required data insights, writing and executing SQL queries to answer each request, and creating a presentation to deliver these insights to the executive team.

Throughout the project, I demonstrated my ability to tackle complex data queries and present insights in an engaging and easily understandable manner. This experience helped me refine both my technical abilities and my capacity to communicate data-driven insights effectively to stakeholders.
