AtliQ Hardware is a consumer electronics company which sells its products across the globe. The company wants to understand its sales performance over time which could help in devising its future plans. I have used MS Excel to create sales reports.

I have created two reports using pivot tables. Those are:
1) Customer Performance Report - this report enables the sales team to identify best performing customers over the years and the growth/decline in revenue.
2) Market Performance Report - this report gives the amount of sales generated per each country and in knowing whether the sales target is achieved or not.

By understanding the insights from these reports, the company can work on optimizing its sales strategy across different markets and customers and maximize Return on Investment (ROI).

Project Details

In this project, I have performed Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on the given marketing campaign dataset using Python programming language. The objective is to analyse the dataset and draw useful insights about the marketing campaigns.

Python Libraries used:
a) Pandas and Numpy for data analysis and manipulation
b) Matplotlib and Seaborn for data visualization

What I have learned by doing this project:

1) reading data from CSV files & loading it into a Pandas data frame
2) data cleaning and manipulation using Pandas:

a) removing white spaces and unnecessary characters
b) converting the datatypes of certain columns to appropriate datatypes
c) handling missing values and imputing them with the median to avoid the effect of outliers
d) detecting outliers using box-plot and percentile methods and removing them

3) Skewness of the data
4) Scatter plots, Line plot
5) Correlation between different variables

As a Data Analyst, I have used SQL to answer some crucial business questions and came up with valuable insights which could help the business to take better data-driven decisions.

What I have learned by doing this project:

1) creating new tables and inserting data into them
2) creating temporary tables
3) data cleaning and transformation:

a) replacing blank spaces and null values
b) removing unwanted strings/text from certain columns using regular expressions and replacing with appropriate values
c) changing columns with text data type to float data type

4) Concepts I have used in the project:

I have used SQL to analyse the impact of sustainable packaging methods on sales performance and have come up with relevant answers and recommendations.

What I have learned by doing this project:

1) data cleaning and transformation:

a) converted a ‘String’ data type column to ‘Date’ data type column
b) extracted ‘week number’, ‘month number’ and ‘year’ from Date data type column
c) creating new tables and new columns as per the requirements

2) Concepts I have used in the project:

a) CREATE TABLE, DROP TABLE, IF EXISTS
b) DISTINCT, COUNT, AGGREGATE functions (COUNT, SUM, MAX), ALIAS, String functions, DATE and TIME functions, Converting data types – from string to date format, WHERE (filtering data), LIKE

In this project, I have developed a high-level KPI dashboard for the executive team to analyse key metrics such as: customer and product performance, sales revenue trend for each year, on-time delivery percentage, etc.

This dashboard provides valuable insights and recommendations which would help the company to optimize their sales and supply chain strategies and maximize Return on Investment (ROI).

What I have learned by doing this project:

1) understood the data analytics pipeline
2) connected to and extracted data from CSV files
3) cleaned and transformed raw data using Power Query
4) data modelling
5) created various measures and calculated columns using DAX.
6) Here are some of the functions I have used in the project: CALCULATE, FILTER, LOOKUPVALUE, DATEDIFF, DISTINCTCOUNT, etc.
7) used bookmark and selection for switching between two visuals
8) Choosing the right visuals and formatting and dashboard designing principles

I have built an interactive dashboard to understand employee stats.

By analysing these results, we can know the reasons why employees’ have left the company and take necessary precautions to retain valuable man power, understand how much the employees’ are happy with the job role and come up with new processes which would empower them to work more efficiently.

What I have learned by doing this project:
