My entry for the Project Resume Challenge hosted by Codebasics. The project was to provide Insights to the Revenue Team of Atliq Grand group of hotels based on the booking data and design a dashboard with key metrics.

An overview of the bookings in the Atliq Group of Hotels with emphasis on key metrics like Revenue , Occupancy Rate, REVPAR, ADR etc.

A comparison of key metrics among the hotels operating in four major cities.

Project Details

AtliQ Grands owns multiple five-star hotels across India. They have been in the hospitality industry for the past 20 years. Due to strategic moves from other competitors and ineffective decision-making in management, AtliQ Grands is losing its market share and revenue in the luxury/business hotels category. As a strategic move, the managing director of AtliQ Grands wanted to incorporate “Business and Data Intelligence” to regain their market share and revenue.

Task:
Take the role of a data analyst who has been provided with sample data and a mock-up dashboard to work on the following tasks:

1.Create the metrics according to the metric list.
2.Create a dashboard according to the mock-up provided by stakeholders.
3.Create relevant insights that are not provided in the metric list/mock-up dashboard.
4.Present the insights derived from the data as a presentation to the stakeholders.

This project was a challenge hosted by CodeBasics, an edutech company.

CodeX , German beverage company that is aiming to make its mark in the Indian market conducted a survey in 10 cities among 10k respondents. As a marketing data analyst I need to convert these survey results to meaningful insights which the team can use to drive actions.

This Project was a challenge hosted by CodeBasics.

About the Project:
CodeX is a German beverage company that is aiming to make its mark in the Indian market. A few months ago, they launched their energy drink in 10 cities in India.
Their Marketing team is responsible for increasing brand awareness, market share, and product development. They conducted a survey in those 10 cities and received results from 10k respondents. As a marketing data analyst the contestants were tasked to convert these survey results to meaningful insights which the team can use to drive actions.

I used Power BI for data analysis and PowerPoint for presenting the data insights.

Keeping in mind the market and the survey results specific recommendations were given to Codex to improve their market presence.

Excel Project

Sales and P/L Analysis for Atliq Hardwares using MS Excel

Sales and P/L analysis for Atliq Hardwares, a fictional hardware manufacturer with business across more than 20 countries . This was a guided project, included in the excel certification course offered by code basics.

Project Details

This project was part of the excel course - MS Excel- Mother of Business Intelligence - by Codebasics. It is a comprehensive project, that inlcudes the use of all advanvced features of Excel.

The source data contained 4 dimension tables and 2 fact tables. The Extraction, Transformation and Loading of data was done using Power Query.

Data loaded into Excel was further analysed to derive insights into sales.

There was extensive use of Calculated fields and Dax measures.

The reports have different analysis done to have an understanding about Performing Countries, Products, P/L for selected regions and markets, Customer Performance Comparison etc.

Sales Analysis for Awesome Chocolates using MS Excel

Sales Analysis of Awesome Chocolates, a fictional chocolate company selling a wide variety of chocolates across many countrIes. MS Excel was used for analysis and reporting.

A dynamic and interactive report showing the total no of transactions, sales, P/L, sales contribution by individual sales person, listed by country.

Sales Analysis of Awesome Chocolates :

The project was to analyse the sales for an imaginary chocolate company called "Awesome Chocolates", that has operations in different countries.

The source of this data is from the educative youtube channel chandoo.org.

The source data contained 2 tables :
1. Sales Data
2. Cost Price of Products

An exploratory data analysis was performed on the data available and came up with following reports :

a. Consolidated report - A report of the total sales, profit across various countries and products along with sales contribution from individual sales person.
b. Preliminary sales analysis to show the distribution of sales among the countries.
c. Top performing sales people.
d. Product wise sales distribution to identify top performing product, product with max profit %.

This project was an excellent opportunity to test my knowledge of Tables, Pivot Tables, Slicers, Data Validation, functions like Xlookup,Unique etc.

Project Details

This project was a challenge hosted by Steel Data (UK based e-learning provider).
Steve, the owner of car showroom is looking for a data analyst to provide him with answers to a set of questions regarding the sales at his showroom. The challenge was to use the data available in tables and use SQL to get the solutions. Have used aggregate functions, user defines procedures, CTEs, windows functions etc to provide my solutions.

Project Details

As a Data Analyst at Instacart(Online Grocery Shopping App), the task was to analyse the orders data between two quarters to understand the business and to see if it has changed / remained the same over time. As it was an open ended project I used the Exploratory Data Analysis approach to analyse the data and to derive answers to a set of questions complied initially.
