Hi, I’m Rutuja Ijare, and I’m excited to grow in the world of Data Analysis because I truly enjoy working with data and discovering the stories it can tell.
I come from a Computer Science background, but over time, I realized that what excites me most is exploring data, finding patterns,and helping businesses make better decisions based on those insights.
Even though I haven’t worked in a company yet,I’ve spent a lot of time working on real-world business projects using tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
These projects helped me understand how data works in a business setting and how to present it in a clear, meaningful way through dashboards.

Project Details

The project aims to enhance sales strategies, financial planning, and overall business growth. Using Excel’s Pivot Tables, Power Query, and Conditional Formatting, I developed dynamic reports that help businesses identify profitable customers, assess market performance, and optimize financial strategies.
Reports & Insights Generated:The Customer Performance Report tracks net sales per customer from 2019-2021 and compares performance across years to identify sales trends. It helps businesses determine effective discounts and negotiate better deals. The Market Performance Report provides a country-wise net sales analysis, compares actual sales with 2021 targets, and identifies potential markets for expansion.

Project Title: Consumer Goods Ad-Hoc Insights – (Resume Project Challenge #4)

Problem Statement:
Atliq Hardwares (imaginary company) struggled to generate quick and smart data-driven insights. To solve this, the company launched a SQL challenge simulating ad-hoc business requests.

What I Did:
Solved 10 real-world business questions using SQL.
Extracted key insights on sales trends, product performance, and divisions.
Built an interactive Power BI dashboard and made a detailed video presentation.

How I Did It:
Wrote complex SQL queries using joins, CTEs, and window functions.
Visualized insights with clean, executive-ready Power BI dashboards.
Structured findings in a clear, storytelling-driven PowerPoint and video.

What I Gained:
Improved hands-on SQL skills with a real-world scenario.

Project Details

The project started with creating a clear feature list based on the client’s requirements.
I then designed a mockup layout for three main dashboard pages: General View, Sales Mode Analysis, and Age Group Analysis.
These mockups ensured an intuitive user experience and guided the visual structure of the report.
Once the design was finalized, I developed the dashboard in Power BI, using a well-organized list of DAX measures.
This approach helped maintain consistency and accuracy while building insights like total revenue, customer trends, daily growth metrics, and demographic segmentation.

This project focuses on analyzing the revenue performance of AtliQ Grands, a luxury hotel chain with properties across major Indian cities.
Using Power BI, I built an interactive dashboard that provides deep insights into key hospitality metrics like RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy %, Realization %, and DSRN.
The project involved end-to-end development: from understanding business requirements, designing mockups, transforming raw data using Power Query, building relationships through data modeling, and creating custom DAX measures.
The dashboard helps stakeholders analyze performance by city, property type, room class, and booking platform.
It also includes trend analysis and actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
This real-world case study enhanced my skills in business intelligence, data storytelling, and domain understanding in the hospitality sector.

Project Details

Lio, a leading telecom provider in India, is planning a strategic merger with Jotstar, a top OTT platform. This analysis supports merger decisions by comparing LioCinema’s large subscriber base with Jotstar’s diverse content library. Using Power BI, I analyzed data from Jan–Nov 2024 to uncover insights on content performance, user behavior, subscriber growth, inactivity trends, and upgrade/downgrade patterns. The goal was to evaluate each platform’s strengths and identify key opportunities for growth. These insights will help shape content and engagement strategies post-merger, aiming to position Lio-Jotstar as India’s leading OTT platform.
