I created this project using Excel to analyze sales data and deliver actionable insights. Key reports include:

Customer Performance Report: Yearly net sales for key customers with growth percentage comparisons (2020 vs. 2021).
Market Performance vs. Target: Regional sales data vs. targets, highlighting underperformance and growth opportunities.
Division Report: Sales insights by division, region, and customer, with year-over-year growth comparisons.
New Products 2021: Analyzed sales of new products launched in 2021, with filters for region, division, and customer.
Top 5 and Bottom 5 Products: Ranked products by quantity sold.
Top 5 Net Sales Countries: Highlighted countries with the highest net sales in 2021.
Top 10 Products: Ranked the top 10 products by growth percentage with filtering options.
Using Power Query, Power Pivot, and Pivot Tables, I streamlined data cleaning, modelling, and visualization to uncover trends and support better decision-making.

Project Details

This project aimed to create a comprehensive report for sales, marketing, finance, and executive team stakeholders, focusing on robust data modelling, user-centric design, and actionable, drillable insights.
Key learnings included:
Mastering Power Query (basic and advanced).
Writing simple and complex DAX formulas, and designing data models with 10+ tables.
I also honed skills in choosing appropriate visuals, applying dashboard design principles, using bookmarks for navigation, and deploying reports in the Power BI service.
Stakeholder feedback was integrated to improve the report, analysing metrics across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.

The animation clearly illustrates progress over decades, especially in Asia and America. Africa shows significant variability.

Project Details

Atliq Hardware (imaginary company) is one of the leading computer hardware producers in India and is well expanded in other countries too.
However, the management noticed that they do not get enough insights to make quick and smart data-informed decisions. They want to expand their data analytics team by adding several junior data analysts. Tony Sharma, their data analytics director, wanted to hire someone good at both tech and soft skills. Hence, he decided to conduct an SQL challenge, which will help him understand both the skills.
