Project Details

In this project, I created a sales report using Excel pivot tables which will enable businesses to determine effective customer discounts, facilitate negotiations with consumers, and identify potential business expansion opportunities in promising countries. The reports generated will provide actionable insights and recommendations for businesses to optimize their sales strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue generation.

"Project Overview: Addressing the Challenges of AtliQ Grands, a leading five-star hotel chain in India. Over two decades, the company has faced a decline in market share and revenue within the luxury/business hotels sector, attributed to heightened competition and ineffective management decisions.

Insights Uncovered:
1. Mumbai dominates revenue across all months.
2. Atliq Palace & Atliq Exotica are top revenue contributors.
3. 40% revenue from unidentified sources demands targeted marketing.
4. Overall Average Ratings can be elevated (3.62).
5. A constant ADR suggests an opportunity for dynamic pricing.
6. Bangalore exhibits low occupancy but ranks second in revenue.

Learnings Achieved:
1. Mastered key hotel industry metrics: RevPAR, occupancy %, ADR, and realization%.
2. Familiarity with hospitality terminology: DSRN, DBRN, and DURN.
3. Established connections between data sets.
4. Formulated measures and KPIs for comprehensive revenue analysis across segments.
