I developed a Power BI dashboard integrating data on market strategy, property performance, ADR, OCC%, and average ratings. The dashboard pinpointed key drivers behind a 20% revenue decline and uncovered expansion opportunities. This data-driven approach resulted in a 30% increase in online bookings, a 20% reduction in booking abandonment, and a 10% recovery in market share and revenue.

Project Details

This project involved addressing ad-hoc business requests for a consumer goods company by extracting, analyzing, and reporting data using SQL. SQL queries were written to handle specific business needs related to market performance, product counts, customer discounts, and sales data.

The extracted data was exported into Excel (CSV format) for further analysis, and reports were generated to answer business questions.

Key SQL concepts used included
Joins (to combine data from multiple tables),
Common Table Expressions (CTEs for simplifying queries),
Subqueries, Aggregate Functions (SUM, COUNT, AVG, etc.),
Window Functions (RANK, OVER),
Date Functions (MONTH, YEAR),
CASE Statements for conditional logic.
Filtering and sorting (WHERE, ORDER BY) were also applied.

The tools used were SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
