Customer Performance Report: Provides net sales performance of each customer across years

Market performance vs Target report across years: Enables stakeholders to assess the country's performance and compare it to set targets.

Project Details

In this project, I created a sales report using excel pivot tables which will enable businesses to determine effective customer discounts, facilitate negotiations with consumers, and identify potential business expansion opportunities in promising countries. The reports generated will provide actionable insights and recommendations for businesses to optimize their sales strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue generation.

Sales director of the AltiQ hardware, decided to build a PowerBI Dashboard for converting the data into visual representation to make data driven decisions. So, he hired a team of data people to complete this task.

Key Metrics such as Revenue, Sales Quantities were analysed as per the markets in this dashboard and market trends were determined.

Advanced metrics such as Revenue contribution and Profit contribution was determined and analyzed in this part of sales dashboard.

Project Details

Aim - As a data analyst my aim was to unlock insights that are not visible to sales team for supporting there decision and eventually automating to reduced manual time which is spent in data gathering, manipulation, etc.

Understanding Stakeholders who are involved is also a crucial step. In our case Stakeholders were Sales Director, Marketing Team, Customer Service Team, Data Analytics Team, IT Dept.

Learnings :-
Performed a High level analysis of data in SQL to get better understanding over the data.
Connected the SQL data set to PowerBI.
Performed ETL and data cleaning on the imported data.
In the currency there were two types of currencies in transactions, performed currency conversion to make all the currency type same
Created measure for needs and used them for creating visuals in PowerBi.
After the initial report reviewed by the stakeholders, made changes to the report based on the review commends.

Due to strategic moves from other competitors and ineffective decision-making in management, AtliQ Grands are losing its market share and revenue in the luxury hotels category.

Project Details

The managing director of AtliQ Grands wanted to incorporate “Business and Data Intelligence” in order to regain their market share and revenue. However, they do not have an in-house data analytics team to provide them with these insights. Their revenue management team had decided to hire a 3rd party service provider to provide them insights from their historical data.
As a data analyst I was provided with sample data and a mock-up dashboard to work on the following task.
Create the metrics according to the metric list.
Create a dashboard according to the mock-up provided by stakeholders.
Create relevant insights that are not provided in the metric list/mock-up dashboard.

Comparing the sales and orders using single chart?
Which month got the highest sales and orders?
Who purchased more men or women in 2022?
What are different order status in 2022?
List top 10 states contributing to the sales
Relation between age and gender based on number of sales?
Which channel is contributing to maximum sales?
Based on this insights was generated so that it will assist the store which will help in taking data driven decisions which will boost the business.

Ad Hoc Insights - Providing Insights to Consumer Goods Management

Out of total 27 markets ‘Atliq Exclusive” operates its business in 8 markets in APAC region.

Gross sales amount saw gradual increase from Sep 2019 till November 2019 but from December 2019 spike went down and it fall to its lowest on March.

Project Details

Management want to expand their data analytics team by adding several junior data analysts. Tony Sharma, their data analytics director wanted to hire someone who is good at both tech and soft skills. Hence, he decided to conduct a SQL challenge which will help him understand both the skills.
Being a data anlayst I participated in SQL Challenge organazied by Tony Sharma. But before working on the tasks it's very important to study and understand the metadata which director has provided.

So attached is the ‘ad-hoc-requests.pdf’ in which there are 10 ad hoc requests for which the business needs insights.
For answering all this request I have to run them in RDBMS MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server,etc.
The target audience of this dashboard is top-level management - hence presentation is needed show the insights.
