Raw sales data almost never arrives clean. Duplicate orders, missing values, product names that never match: every morning someone loses the first hour cleaning it by hand before anyone can trust the dashboard. There is a better way. In this session you will build a pipeline that does that cleaning for you, automatically, every day.

In this free 60-minute session, you will build an end-to-end ETL pipeline from scratch, live. Starting from raw retail sales data, you will build it in Microsoft Fabric and finish with a Power BI dashboard that refreshes itself with clean, reliable data, using AI in VS Code to write the transformation code faster. This is a hands-on build-along, not a lecture. No data engineering background needed: if you can follow simple steps, you can follow this.

Before the session you will get a short setup guide to complete, so you are ready to build from the first minute. Prefer to just watch? That works too, the steps are easy to follow.

Who should attend this webinar

✔️ Data analysts ready to take their first real step into data engineering.
✔️ Anyone who has built a dashboard and wants to understand what actually feeds it.
✔️ Complete beginners who want to see a modern pipeline built end to end, no heavy background needed.

What we'll cover

🔹 Ingesting raw sales data into Microsoft Fabric and storing it in a Lakehouse
🔹 Cleaning it in a PySpark notebook: duplicates, missing values, dates, data types
🔹 Using AI in VS Code to write and improve that notebook faster
🔹 Orchestrating the whole flow as a Fabric Data Pipeline
🔹 Refreshing a Power BI dashboard and validating the results

Bonus Resource

📌 The session notebook and starter dataset, so you can rebuild the pipeline yourself after the session.
