Subscription Plans & Recurring Payments
Auto-Renewal & Billing Consent
Codebasics subscription plans are billed on a monthly basis. When you purchase a subscription plan, you authorise LearnerX EdTech Private Limited to charge your registered payment method on a recurring basis (depending on the plan selected) until you cancel.
By subscribing, you expressly consent to the recurring debit of your payment instrument, including via UPI AutoPay mandate, eNACH (Net Banking), credit/debit card, or any other payment method selected at checkout, in accordance with the billing cycle of your chosen plan.
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Mandate Registration Notice: When you subscribe and choose UPI AutoPay as your payment method, you are registering a standing payment instruction (mandate) directly with your bank and the NPCI UPI AutoPay framework. This mandate authorises LearnerX EdTech Private Limited to initiate automatic recurring debits from your linked UPI bank account on the billing date of each subscription cycle, for the amount of your subscription plan. When you subscribe via Net Banking (eNACH), you are registering an e-mandate through your bank's NACH system, which similarly authorises automatic recurring debits. These mandates are legal instructions registered at your bank and remain active until you revoke them as described below.
Pricing & Changes
Current subscription pricing is displayed on the Website at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to revise subscription pricing and will notify you at least 7 days before any price change takes effect by email to your registered address.
If you continue to use your subscription after the effective date of the revised price, that constitutes your acceptance. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Codebasics account. Cancellation must be completed at least 2 business days before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for the following billing period. For eNACH (Net Banking) users, the 2-business-day window is essential, as debit processing may begin before your renewal date. For UPI AutoPay users, this buffer is recommended but cancellations closer to the renewal date may also take effect. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already charged, except as provided in our Refund Policy.
UPI AutoPay and eNACH (Indian learners):
If you pay via UPI AutoPay or eNACH, your mandate is registered with your bank. Cancelling your Codebasics subscription stops future renewals on our platform, but you must also revoke the mandate through your UPI app (under AutoPay or Mandates) or your bank's net banking portal to prevent further bank-level debits. Both steps are required.
PayPal and Stripe (International learners):
If you subscribed using PayPal or Stripe, please cancel the recurring billing agreement directly from your PayPal or Stripe account in addition to cancelling on Codebasics. Cancelling only on Codebasics may not be sufficient to stop charges from PayPal or Stripe.
Your Right to Revoke Your Mandate: You have the right to cancel or revoke your UPI AutoPay or eNACH mandate at any time, with immediate effect, at no charge. No fee will be levied by Codebasics or your bank for mandate cancellation. To revoke a UPI AutoPay mandate: open your UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, or your bank's UPI app), navigate to 'AutoPay' or 'Mandates', find the Codebasics mandate, and cancel it. To revoke an eNACH mandate: log in to your bank's net banking portal, navigate to the Mandates section, and revoke the mandate for LearnerX EdTech Private Limited. Please also cancel your Codebasics subscription from your account dashboard. Both steps are required to fully stop future charges.
Pausing Your UPI AutoPay Subscription: If you subscribed via UPI AutoPay, you may pause your recurring payments directly from your UPI app (under 'AutoPay' or 'Mandates'). Pausing your mandate temporarily stops automatic debits but does not cancel your Codebasics subscription. During a pause, you will retain access to subscription content for the remainder of any paid period. If the next billing date arrives while your mandate is paused, payment will not be collected and your subscription access may lapse until the mandate is resumed or an alternative payment is made. Only you can resume a paused UPI mandate, Codebasics cannot resume it on your behalf.
Refunds for Subscriptions
Refunds for subscription plans are governed by our Refund Policy, available at https://codebasics.io/refund-policy.
Failed Payments & Access Suspension
If a scheduled subscription payment fails, your subscription will be automatically cancelled and you will lose access at the end of your current paid period. You will be notified by email and/or text message. To continue access, you may re-subscribe at any time.
Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] within 15 days of the transaction date before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We will acknowledge your query within 48 hours and aim to resolve valid disputes within 5–7 business days. Please do not initiate a chargeback without first allowing this resolution window, as initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account access while the dispute is under review. If your dispute is not acknowledged within 48 hours or resolved within 7 business days, you may escalate to our Consumer Grievance Officer at [email protected] before contacting your bank.
Account Reinstatement After Dispute Resolution: If your account is suspended due to a payment dispute and the dispute resolves in your favour, your subscription will be reinstated with the full remaining paid period restored. You will be notified by email within 2 business days of dispute resolution.
Pre-Debit Notification
Before each recurring debit, you will receive a notification to your registered email or mobile number at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled debit. This notification will include: (a) the merchant name: LearnerX EdTech Private Limited, (b) the exact debit amount, (c) the scheduled debit date, and (d) an option to pause or cancel the upcoming debit. To opt out of a specific debit without cancelling your entire subscription, contact [email protected] before the scheduled debit date, or revoke your mandate via your UPI app or bank portal. If you do not opt out, the debit will be processed automatically.
UPI Mandate Limit: When you register a UPI AutoPay mandate, the mandate limit will be set to your subscription amount. Actual debits will never exceed your subscription price.
Payment Processor (Within India)
Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Limited, a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India.
Payments made via the PayPal EMI option
Payments made via the PayPal EMI option are non-refundable through Codebasics. This is because the EMI credit facility is provided directly by PayPal, which disburses the full course fee to Codebasics upfront on your behalf. The repayment obligation is between you and PayPal under your PayPal account terms. For any disputes regarding PayPal EMI charges, please contact PayPal directly at paypal.com/disputes or through your PayPal account dashboard.
Support Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM IST.
Courses & Bootcamp Enrolment

- You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the course content for the duration specified at the time of purchase.
- Access is tied to your account and may not be shared.
- Content may be updated or retired. We will provide reasonable notice before retiring content that significantly affects your enrolled course.

User-Submitted Content & Portfolio
If you submit content through the Website, including portfolio projects, testimonials, forum posts, or community contributions, you:
- Retain ownership of your content.
- Grant Codebasics a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and use that content solely in connection with operating and promoting the Services.
- Represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you submit, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
We may remove any user-submitted content at our discretion if it violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Codebasics' total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Codebasics giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. When changes are material, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Website at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Website or Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
